Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy for Grief, Loss & Trauma

A two day training with Dr. Sameet Kumar which explores specific mindfulness-based approaches to working with clients who are dealing with grief, loss and trauma. This training will offer both theoretical and experiential approaches. Participants will understand how mindfulness can be introduced skillfully and adapted to specific presenting concerns. There will be time for integration and dyad work in class.

Sameet Kumar Ph.D is the clinical psychologist for the Memorial Cancer Institute in Broward County, Florida. Sameet specializes in using mindfulness-based therapies to help people going through difficult life transitions such as death, dying, grief, and coping with a life-changing illness. He is the author of Grieving Mindfully: A Compassionate and Spiritual Guide to Coping with Loss, The Mindful Path Through Worry and Rumination: Letting Go of Anxious and Depressive Thoughts and Mindfulness for Prolonged Grief.
